Landscape Forms Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of commercial outdoor furniture and accessories, has partnered with BMW Group DesignworksUSA in Munich, Germany to design a collection of products that address new trends in urban development. The collection will incorporate global design, manufacturing and finishing techniques.
The partnership brings together Landscape Forms' expertise in developing and manufacturing furniture for outdoor environments with BMW Group DesignworksUSA's broad experience in product and transportation design.
Research will draw on Landscape Forms' Roundtables, in which design professionals and other experts have explored key issues in urban revitalization and transportation, and BMW Group DesignworksUSA's presence and experience in Europe and Asia.
Product engineering will be completed at Landscape Forms' Kalamazoo headquarters.
Landscape Forms Search process to solicit customer feedback during the design development will be international in scope, gathering specifier and client feedback from several continents.
Research, design and engineering for manufacture will culminate in a product launch planned for 2009.
