Designed for outdoor use, this combination offers a French flair. Landscape Forms, a designer, manufacturer and marketer of award-winning commercial outdoor furniture and accessories, is pleased to announce the introduction of Parc Centre, movable outdoor furniture designed for urban parks, plazas and other public places. The Parc Centre chair, inspired by portable park chairs in Paris’s Luxembourg Gardens, answers a growing demand for informal individual seating that can be repositioned by users in active public spaces. The companion Park Centre table expands the options for versatile social settings.
Designer John Rizzi’s beautifully simple form for the Parc Centre chair is a clever riff on the Parisian outdoor standard. The rectangular linear frame provides strength with resilience, and imparts a feeling of energy without mass. The chair offers comfort with a pleasing bounce. Light in spirit and visual structure, Parc Centre is strong, durable and has the heft to hold its ground.
Constructed of steel rod with welded solid steel straps, Parc Centre weighs a substantial 13 pounds without arms and 16 pounds with arms. It is light enough to move around, and heavy enough to keep from tipping, blowing over or being easily carried away. Its sled base provides stability on grass, gravel or hard surfaces. Parc Centre stack horizontally, so it has the utility of a stacker without the need for lifting. Singly or in multiples, scattered at random or clustered around tables, Parc Centre serves emerging expectations for greater amenity and flexibility in public outdoor space.
The Parc Centre table is a simple combination of thin top and column base. Its sleek 5/16” top reads like a fine line but provides the strength and durability of solid steel. Leveling glides on the steel plate base are height adjustable. The Parc Centre table is offered in three sizes: 12” and 30” round, and 28” square.
Both chair and table are protected by Landscape Forms’ Pangard II® finishing process that includes a rust inhibitor and top coat finish of polyester powdercoat that is U.V., chip and flake resistant. Both are offered in standard colors with optional and custom colors available.
